 Calculated from the surviving Mew`s Royal Brewery , Newport Brewing Books cared for 

As part of their collections by the team at The Isle of Wight Records Office .

  Thanks are due to Jeff Secchiari of  The Brewery History Society for sending me the photos 

Of the brewing books ; * 1884 - 1885 , 1886 - 1887 & 1889 - 1891  .

As to the sort of beer that Guinea Ale should be classed as , 

I`d say it was a ` Mild Bitter Beer ` ,  Definitely NOT a Mild Ale .
